"The supreme quality for leadership is unquestionably integrity. Without it, no real success is possible, no matter whether it is on a section gang, a football field, in an army, or in an office."
-Dwight D. Eisenhower
Victor Warners was born in the Netherlands and is a prototypical Dutchman. After completing his Baccalaureate in France, he came to the US on an academic Rotary scholarship and has been in the Southeastern US ever since. Victor may not sound like a southerner, but after 30 years in Georgia, there is nowhere that he would rather be. He has both an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree in business and he has spent the last 25+ years in - or closely associated with - the foreign language business; either as translator (specializing in technical patents and research papers from German, French and Dutch into English), Project Manager, Localization Consultant, Operations Manager and Company President. Being the father of two cool teenagers and running Omni Tech Translations with the help of an incredibly talented team are the two adventures of a lifetime. (Not to mention British cars, everything associated with aviation, vintage American and British engines, photography, wooden boats and driving giant steam locomotives in Poland.)
Sophie Lallement is the Vice President of Omni Tech Translations. She was born in Italy, spent her teenage years in the US, after which she went to college and “commuted” between the US and France most of her adult life. After studying just about everything she could study, including 5 years of Spanish, and a Master’s degree in psychoanalysis, in computer programming, pharmaceutical marketing and communications, she started working for the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. She managed teams of medical sales reps for 10 years at Johnson & Johnson and KCI. She also spent a number of years in the marketing departments of those companies as Product Manager. After a long stint in the corporate world and resuming her studies, Sophie practiced psychoanalysis for a number years but realized the she missed the excitement of working in the field and being part of a strong team. (Which is why she joined Omni!) Her two daughters, Allison and Audrey, are her pride and joy. Sophie is inquisitive, quick, multitasking, tenacious, enthusiastic and sometimes unintentionally funny. She is responsible for Sales and Marketing at Omni, and also oversees Omni Tech’s European branch office.
Mathieu Barrier is a Senior Project Manager at Omni Tech Translations with over 10 years of localization experience in a very wide variety of responsibilities. Picking up a “London Call” and leaving his teaching position in France, Mathieu became a freelance translator and Voice-Over artist. His commitment and expertise lead to a position as a Localization Analyst in San Diego, focusing on project coordination and Quality Assurance in the Gaming industry. After accepting the role of Lead Translator in a leading Software company, working on Software, Marketing, Websites content and Manuals, he took over the role of Supervisor of the Translation Department, which involved recruiting, training and leading a team of translators while managing over million words projects. His involvement in Translation projects matches his own continuous expectations: to excel in providing the best end results while developing great relationships with clients and vendors, every day. Mathieu also acts as the ISO Quality Representative. He implements, monitors and maintains quality standard processes throughout the company. Apart from everything related to languages, localization and organization, he enjoys wine, soccer, writing, directing, running, surfing, and… wine.
