Specialized Solutions for Foreign Language, E-Discovery & Litigation Support

Examples of the types of data included in e-discovery are:

  • Email
  • Electronic Documents
  • CAD/CAM files
  • Instant Messaging Chats
  • Accounting Databases
  • Websites
  • And any other electronically-stored informationthat could be relevant evidence in a lawsuit.

We can provide data conversion to and from almost any electronic format and provide you with properly identified, translated and clearly organized information, either in print, native file or TIFF images.

If, for example, a relevant document contains 50 pages, Omni Tech Legal can convert it (and the corresponding foreign language version) into 50 TIFF images for use in a discovery review database. Documents that are produced are numbered using a predetermined Bates numbering system and placed in a Load File.

Omni Tech Legal can provide the results of e-discovery in one of several formats: printed paper, "native file" or as TIFF images.

Coding, Indexing, Correlation Bates numbering

Large-scale legal procedures can produce significant amounts of foreign language material. You need to know what you have and whether it is relevant to your case.

Coding

Coding is one option for attorneys and legal teams to better manage sizeable volumes of foreign language data. Our translators will examine your documents and code them according to categories that are most useful to your case. You can then use this information to determine which documents require translation and which do not, thereby avoiding long time delays and the expense of translating non-relevant material. We have experience handling complex multilingual coding projects and we have earned our reputation for superior quality assurance. Our project managers know how to create and implement detailed coding that enables our team members to efficiently process documents while fully keeping your project goals in sight.

Large volumes of foreign language materials in various electronic formats and mountains of paper can make litigation a “needle in the haystack” proposition. Omni Tech Legal can assign unique identifiers to every file, graphic element or piece of paper in any numeric or alphanumeric format that will suit your needs. Furthermore, we organize all materials in order to create direct correlation between the original foreign language document and its corresponding translation, allowing for on-the-spot retrieval and validation.

Omni Tech Legal can both manage the project and deliver the results.

Searching/Filtering

More and more employees are texting and writing emails in their native languages - instead of in English - to avoid having their messages flagged by compliance content monitoring systems. Restricted multilingual filtering capabilities can increase your company’s exposure and it is only a matter of time before these emails and text messages start creating havoc in the traditional litigation review process.

The same is true for foreign language evidence and support materials. If you need the ability to implement search capabilities in other languages, we can provide translations of your English search terms to ensure that you don't miss anything within the foreign language materials in your database or electronic document archives. Omni Tech Legal’s linguists will understand your search methods and provide you with highly targeted search terms.
